Heartwood Quartet
Audrey Doyle / violin, Dylan Latham / violin, Michaela Jones / viola Clemens Fera / cello
The Heartwood Quartet formed in 2020 over a love of chamber music in their first year of study at the RNCM. The name ‘Heartwood’ comes from the spruce tree from which string instrument sound board tops are crafted. The heartwood receives the silent string vibrations, these are then amplified by the maple body which creates the unique bowed string sound.
